Stovetop (recommended):

In a non-stick 12" skillet, warm a few drops of olive oil over a medium flame. Pour in frozen contents of Piazza Italia Sliced Artichoke Hearts.

Cook for 4-5 minutes over a high flame, stirring occasionally.


Arrange frozen artichoke slices in a single layer on a microwaveable plate.

Microwave uncovered on HIGH for approximately 2 minutes or until heated through and sauce is steaming.

Add fresh chopped parsley and sprikle with grated parmesan cheese to bring out full flavor.

Let stand one minute before serving.

Artichoke Gratinata
  • Approximately 10 Minutes Prep Time
  • Approximately 20 minutes Cooking Time
  • 2 Servings
  • 1 bag Piazza Italia Sliced Artichoke Hearts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • fresh chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1) Preheat oven to 450°F
  • 2) In a non stick skillet, warm olive oil over medium heat.
  • 3) Add frozen contents of Piazza Italia Sliced Artichoke Hearts and cook for approximately 2 minutes.
  • 4) Add parsley, salt and pepper (to taste) and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until the artichokes are starting to brown at the edges.
  • 5) Transfer the artichoke mixture to a baking dish.
  • 6) Melt the butter in the same pan used to prepare the artichokes. Mix the melted butter with the breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.
  • 7) Stir in the parmesan and top the artichokes with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • 8) Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the top is golden.
